Cams.com is excited to participate in the Latin American Adult Expo this year in beautiful Cartagena, Colombia. Last year Cams.com used the LAL Expo in Medellin as the beginning of our rebirth as a company! For 2016 we have made a new commitment to Latin America and Colombian models and traffic. We have also made huge improvements to the model experience, member experience and affiliate experience. These changes are already bringing more profits to our partners and models!
This year we will have a full team of Cams.com experts to answer any questions you may have. Ruben Rodriguez is nominated for LAL Expo “Best Industry Representative!” If you have any affiliate or business development questions, he will show you why he was nominated for this prestigious award. Make sure to ask him all about his dogs. Steve Hamilton is our Model Manager. He can answer any and all questions related to the model and studio experience on Cams.com. He was also nominated for “Best Content Producer or Provider” for his video work with studios in Colombia, so he loves to talk video. Scott Thompson, our Director of Product Marketing, will also be on hand to talk about the direction of the Cams.com product. Tips and Tricks to Boost Your ROI during the Summer Slowdown.
Summer is here and many in the industry know that things can slow down for adult affiliate traffic. The reasons for this are pretty clear: people spend more time outside, they go on vacations with their families, and they typically spend less time browsing online for a hot date or hook up, or looking at cute cam girls. However, we have a few tips for you to avoid that summer slump and keep your numbers on the upside while everyone enjoys the summer sun.
- Keep things seasonal. Make your advertising fit the season. This will make potential customers excited about what you are offering. Advertising AFF as a way to meet a fling while on a vacation is a great way to capitalize on summer activities, and keep people coming in for some exciting hook up adventures throughout the steamy summer. Using pictures of summer imagery like beaches, cold drinks and hot couples in bathing suits may help to increase conversions. Be sure to check out our new summer creatives such as banners and landing pages on the FFN Affiliate banner farm.
- Match traffic & targets. You know what your traffic is like. In the summer it’s very important to match the traffic you have to the AFF site that best matches your viewer’s interests. If you have more of a kinky crowd then Alt.com is the perfect site for you to promote, and if you want to advertise to the gay community then OutPersonals.com would be the best choice. If your users want to interact with live cam models, then go with Cams.com. Getting the right site in front of your site’s users will increase your conversion rate during the summer slump.
- Experiment during the slowdown. In the summer, while things are a little slower, it’s a great time to experiment with different markets and sites to promote. You will probably discover something new about your audience and how it performs that you didn’t know, which will help you when things pick back up as summer dreams come to an end and people resume their regular lives in August and September. It’s a great way to use the summer slump to your advantage to increase ROI at a later date.
The summer slowdown can actually be a positive time for AdultFriendFinder affiliates if you know how to harness your data, reach your audience properly and try new things to gain knowledge to use later. Affiliates who do this can get on top of a slowdown at any time of year, which can make them more successful than those who take a slump lying down.
Now that you’ve beat the summer blues, take a break outside to catch some rays with a nice cool one and watch the numbers roll in! If you have any questions or just want to say “Hi” feel free to contact us anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Creator of the First Online Dating Site Is Still Dating Online
Andrew Conru, Founder of FriendFinder Networks, is highlighted in a feature article by New York Times reporter Nadja Sayej. Conru describes how he started Web Personals (arguably the first online dating site ever) in 1993 while doing his doctorate at Stanford University. After running Web Personals for about a year, he “didn’t know any better” and sold it to Telepersonals for $100,000. Soon after he got out of the non-compete, he started another dating website, FriendFinder.com, in 1996. The rest is History as they say!

The weather wasn’t the only thing making temperatures rise in Miami Beach at Xbiz and CamCon this year. Cams.com brought the heat with a few of our amazing models, AZBlonde, KendraSunderland, BirdyAndBeez and CandiTits95. They all turned heads in their Cams clothing (when they wore clothing that is).
At the shows, our Social Media Manager, Courtney Rudolph and Model Manager, Steve Hamilton participated in panel discussions with some of the biggest names in the camming business and not only cemented themselves as industry experts, but also educated models and studios about the business and how Cams.com is bringing new innovations to the market.
But it’s never all work in Miami Beach, and the Cams.com team likes to work hard and play harder. The hot Miami nights were the perfect backdrop for 3 very exclusive industry parties which kicked off with an “All-white clothing mixer” that ran well into the early morning. The second night was the “Neon Party” which was rumored to be still going on when the sun rose over the Atlantic Ocean the next day. The closing party was on the downtown rooftop of the exclusive E11even Lounge with the beautiful Miami skyline as the backdrop.
Overall, our team had a great time with our beautiful Cams.com models, getting business done, rekindling industry friendships, and enjoying the fabulous night life in Miami.
See you again next year!
Cams.com will be on location representing and recruiting top models for the world’s best-known webcam network. CamCon 2016 and XBIZ Miami run concurrently from May 31st to June 3rd and representatives from the Cams.com Model Management Team, as well as Cams.com exclusive models AZ Blonde and Kendra Sunderland will be on hand at the Miami shows.
“With payouts of up to 100%, a massive global audience and all the tools a model needs to create and grow a successful camming career, it’s no wonder Cams.com is attracting more talent in 2016 than ever before,” said Scott Thompson, Director of Product Marketing, Cams.com. “This year, we are celebrating 20 years in the interactive camming business. We bring a world-class support staff to fully manage all of the technical aspects of live shows. Models bring the personality, and it quickly becomes a very profitable partnership for everyone involved.”

“Models love tokens because it feels more fun – almost like a game!” commented Cams.com model Sophia Locke.
Today, the company officially announces the switch from a dollar based payment system to a token based currency system. The token system gives members an easier way to track what is in their virtual “wallet”. Tokens are worth $0.10 each and are kept in the member’s wallet for on demand and future use. The universal cams standard of tokens as currency allows members from around the globe to seamlessly interact with the models.
